JOIN THE TEAM
DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SESSIONS
You are responsible for the events that make our conference an unforgettable experience. You and your team will plan events outside of the plenaries that allow our participants to get together in a relaxed and informal way after the days’ events. You play an integral role in transforming the conference into something that can surprise and inspire strong aspirations for what reconciliation on Bay Street could look like. You will pitch concepts for events and then implement them by coordinating with the rest of the team and our partners both here at the University and otherwise, such as decorators, musicians, locations, and caterers. Further, you and your team will organize a remarkable event for our team after the conference. In your application package, please indicate ideas for events that will appeal to an inclusive audience.
As Director of Social Sessions of the RBS Conference, you will be first tasked to hire a team. You will have full authority over the hiring process and how many positions you create, but you will have to include a Co-Chair in the planning and hiring panel. Leading up to the conference, you will plan monthly small amounts fundraising events and other events as you see fit. For the conference, you will plan case challenges, and informal socials. You will also continually engage those not on the Heads of the Organizing Committee team to identify areas of improvement.

The Participant Services Director has an essential role in ensuring that the participants have everything they need to enjoy the conference. The Participant Services Director will engage primarily in handling registration, working on partnerships to secure discounts, as well as delegate packages and gifts. In your application package, please discuss your ability in time management and organization.
